Arjuna Curcuma Extract Obtained European Union Treatment Patent

　　Not long ago, BCM-95, a natural plant extract from Arjuna Naturals Ltd., was granted a new patent, further consolidating its position in the European market. The "ingredients for treatment" patent granted by the European Patent Office (EPO) is Arjuna's 17th patent in succession on BCM-95 turmeric extract. Before that, BCM-95 had 13 patents, 2 patents and 1 patents in the United States, Japan and Europe respectively.

　　The new patent covers active curcumin, demethoxycurcumin, bisdemethoxycurcumin and aryl curcumin of Arjuna. Studies have shown that turmeric essential oil can help treat depression, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and Alzheimer's disease. At present, the patent has been strictly enforced in most countries in the European Union and the United States.

　　Dr. Benny Antony, co-managing director of Arjuna, said that the patent licensing signified that BCM-95 would become the mainstay of the European market. To meet the growing demand of the market, Arjuna has equipped a continuous extractor powered entirely by solar energy, which produces three times as much as it produces in the Indian city of Coimbatore. Currently, curcumin with high bioavailability has become a leading brand in the United States.

　　As early as 2017, BCM-95 has passed the GRAS safety certification of the Food and Drug Administration of the United States (FDA), which means that it will become a trustworthy clean brand. BCM-95 is subject to strict quality control from raw material procurement to production process, and ensures the traceability of products from farm to finished product supply chain, so as to provide consumers with a pure, clean and safe product. In addition, its therapeutic efficacy has been proved by rigorous clinical trials. Up to now, 42 clinical studies on the health benefits of BCM95 have been reported, and more than 10 ongoing studies have been carried out.

From the perspective of market prospects, according to Google data, since 2004, turmeric search volume has increased significantly, and the accompanying BCM-95 sales have also increased significantly, showing a growing trend.
